But the Costa Blanca hides many other attractive features which bring together modernity and tradition. Beaches

From the north to the south, there are two hundred kilometers of coast to be explored. It's the same sea, but it looks different everywhere you go. Navy blue against a sky full of sun and the Earth's surface covered in bright, marble-colored sand. The Costa Blanca is made up of soft, sandy beaches but it also has sand with rounded edges -polished by the waves- and extensive dunes which change shape with the wind.

Gastronomy

Put a nice plate of rice on your table. Try typical rice dishes like ``caldero,`` ``arroz a banda,`` or ``arroz con costra;`` you may also like rice with rabbit and snails, or “amb fesols y naps.” Inland, you can find ``cocas`` (pastries), ``gazpacho`` (cold vegetable soup), ``olletas,`` and ``pelotas`` (typical stews). Also, you can't leave without trying the ``Vega Baja`` artichoke - a quality brand.

Nature routes

From the coast inland you'll find steep terrain full of small, charming villages.
Tucked away places that dot the valleys and mountains in white. Many still have traces of their Moorish and Medieval past.

Festivals - a place for them to be experienced

The Costa Blanca is characterized by the variety and originality of its festivals. They are everywhere and all year round.
Amongst them, we find the ``Moros y Cristianos`` Festival (Moors and Christians), in which beautiful tunics, sabers, and velvet cloths decorates the streets of many municipalities
with the rhythm of festive music or the noise of the catapults in the background.

Outdoor sports

After summer, the mild winter temperatures allow for outdoor sports to be enjoyed at any time of the year. The Costa Blanca is internationally known for its varied selection of golf courses. Near the sea -tucked away amongst the mountains- there is a total of 21 courses, of which 3 are Pitch & Putt.
